Founder of Lyme Lives Here, Brooklynn Hellenbrand, watched helplessly as her mother lost the ability to walk within 60 days of sustaining a tick bite on their Georgia horse farm. Treatment was postponed because "Lyme does not exist in Georgia."
In response, Brooklynn created this site for her Girl Scout Gold Award to educate her community about this very real and devastating disease. 
Three years later her mother has found a form of remission and has taken over the website as a Global Lyme Alliance Ambassador for the state of Georgia.
